Hyundai i10 To Get 1.2 Liter Engine

The i10 is all set to get itself a new engine. The company will launch the car with a new 1.2 liter engine, code named Kappa, in a couple of month’s time. According to the company, the new engine will generate an additional 15 horses compared to the current 1.1 liter model. This will take power rating to about 80bhp.
The i10 is already a good handling package and has good high speed stability. The additional poke will only better the car’s reputation.

No prices have been announced just yet, but expect a bump up of around 20k. Also the engine may only see duty in the higher spec models. Also on the cards are the LPG variants of Santro, Getz and the Accent and also the CNG variant of the latter.
Previously I have written about the diesel i10 coming out by the end of the year.
