After the successful launch of the i10, Hyundai is gearing up for the launch of the next i car, the i20. The car will be rolled out in the coming year and India will be the sole manufacturing hub for the hatch.
Hyundai’s new plant will go operational in January 2008, thereby doubling the production capacity from the current 3,00,000 units per year. Both the i10 as well as the i20 will be produced in the new plant. The car most definitely will be costlier than the i10, so a price range starting above 5.00 lakh mark is most likely.
Makes me wonder what will happen to the Getz. Hopefully it will be completely replaced.
