In a few weeks time Ford is expected to name Tata as the chosen bidder for the two British marques Jaguar and Land Rover which it had put up for sale in June this year.
The deal has reportedly cost Tata close to a billion pounds. The other two bidders were the Indian UV manufacturer Mahindra and One Equity from US. The exact amount is to be worked out in the coming days. Tata also announced that the One Lakh Car would begin testing in April next year.
